Housing for Homeless networks and partners with other community service providers and volunteers in order to meet the needs of the Housing for Homeless and Veterans Services Program participants. Volunteers are needed to help the agency with its mission in a number of different areas. Volunteers can assist with teaching classes, organizing donation drives (food, hygiene products, etc.), visiting with retired Vets, providing transportation for doctor’s appointments, grocery store, etc., donating holiday meals and gifts, providing food for Veteran’s Day, Valentine’s Day, etc., performing office and clerical work, helping with yard clean-up and property maintenance, providing pet therapy, and much more.
