What do we do for the homeless?

Housing for Homeless, Inc. (formally the Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless) has been in operation since 1998 and has been designated as a non-profit agency under IRS Code Section 501 (c) (3). In 2001, the agency became a certified Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO). The agency also is an active participant in the Federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). This program allows our agency to purchase foreclosed homes that are blighting neighborhoods, refurbish them, and then rent to low incomes familes.
